THE BELIEVER’S STANDING IN CHRIST

 Whenever winner-believers maintain a clear vision of the spiritual authority and power that have been so generously bestowed upon us, we refuse to succumb to anxiety, worry, frustration, or fear.  Here are a few scriptural reasons why believers should have absolute confidence in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

 BELIEVERS ARE RECIPIENTS OF GRACE AND PEACE.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:2)

 BELIEVERS ARE SPIRITUALLY BLESSED.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)

 BELIEVERS ARE DIVINELY EMPOWERED.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue. (II Peter 1:2-3)

 BELIEVERS ARE CHOSEN AND BLAMELESS IN GOD’S SIGHT.

He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. (Ephesians 1:4)

 BELIEVERS ARE ADOPTED INTO HEAVEN’S ROYAL FAMILY.

Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. (Ephesians 1:5-6)

 BELIEVERS ARE FULLY REDEEMED AND FORGIVEN.

We have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7)

 BELIEVERS ARE ABUNDANTLY WISE AND PRUDENT.

Which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself. (Ephesians 1:8-9)

 BELIEVERS ARE DESTINED FOR A GODLY INHERITANCE.

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will. (Ephesians 1:11)

 BELIEVERS ARE FAITHFULLY SEALED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance. (Ephesians 1:13-14)

 BELIEVERS POSSESS WISDOM AND REVELATION KNOWLEDGE.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. (Ephesians 1:17-18)

 We believers, who once were distant from grace and truth, are “brought near by the blood of Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:13)  Indeed, we have been “raised up together” and divinely seated “in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:4-8)  As such, we are eternal recipients of the abundant and manifold grace of God.  Forever, may Almighty God be praised for His inexhaustible mercy and kindness shown toward us!
