GREET TROUBLE WITH A SMILE!
It is imperative that you continue to pursue the unique character
and calling that God planned for your life long before the foundation of the
world and endowed at your birth. (Ephesians 1:4 – Jeremiah 29:11) Sisters
and brothers, we must learn to greet challenges and obstacles with genuine
smiles. James, the brother of Jesus, admonishes us to “count it all joy”
when trials and oppositions knock at the door. Our spiritual perspective,
i.e. THE WORD, teaches
us that PURPOSE is always
resident in problems, pressures and pain.
James 1:2-4 (NKJV)
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into
various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect
work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
So, count it all joy! God has a reason for this season. OPPOSITION will come.
Without question, it will manifest as an organic and expected reality of
life. However, “OPPOSITION” is
a fascinating reality, a most intriguing word. Let’s examine it more
closely. OP–POSITION, also known as OPERATION–POSITION, is not a
blessing-blocker, even though it typically looks and feels like it. Remember
this: CONTRARY WINDS position
us for forward progress. They become gusts in our sails that transport us to
divine purpose and destiny.
Smile. Relax. Rejoice. Be glad. GOD’S got your back! And HE will
somehow reconfigure and reposition every circumstance (no matter how it looks
or what your five senses are shouting) to enable, empower and position you for
victory. The last paragraph on the last page in the last chapter of the
last Bible book says this: “YOU WIN!” Therefore, get your mind off what YOU SEE and focus on what GOD
SAYS. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (II Corinthians 5:7)
As you resolve to do this, i.e. to practice the presence of the
Lord, YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSE will
continually impart a personal, powerful and productive awareness of the
promises and plans of Almighty God.
Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
And we KNOW that ALL THINGS work together for good to those who
love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Today, we will greet unexpected troubles with confidence and smiles. In truth, they are DESTINY-DEVELOPERS, not
the blessing-blockers that they appear to be.
