SUPPORTING OUR
SPIRITUAL SIBLINGS
An important spiritual mandate is recorded in the
Apostle Paul’s letter to the Church of Galatia: “Bear one another’s burdens,
and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
Believers, never forget that we are the Body of
Christ. (Romans 12:5) No part of Christ’s body may rightfully declare greater
importance over people who some construe as ‘lesser’ parts. Simply put, our God is “no respecter of
persons.” (Acts 10:34) This means that ALL are of immeasurable significance to
Him.
Therefore, it is incumbent upon us, as “heirs of
God, and joint heirs with Christ,” to recognize that all persons we encounter
(saints or sinners) have arrived on Earth with created promise and with divine potential
to walk through life as beloved and blessed children God. We should never be distracted by their
present appearance or life circumstances.
God’s love is actualized and manifested via our unconditional concern
and care.
To wit, the Word admonishes believers “that are
strong” to lovingly support and “bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to
please ourselves.” (Romans 15:1) Jesus Christ sums it up this way: “By this
shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have LOVE one to another.”
(John 10:35)
My friend, take a few moments today to support your
spiritual siblings, as well as those who do not presently profess a covenant
relationship with the Savior. Someone is
in desperate need of the gift that GOD has deposited in YOU.
