LET’S PETITION HEAVEN FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP
Quite candidly, it is easy to disparage, denigrate and
disagree with the 45th President of the United States. We need not list the obvious reasons, for
they are painfully visible and well known to all who are willing to look beyond
distortions of truth or propaganda.
Nevertheless, we have been mandated by our Creator to offer consistent and heartfelt
prayer on behalf of Mr. Trump. Here are
some scriptural passages that will inform and inspire our intercessory
endeavors:
I Timothy 2:1-3
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made
for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may
lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For
this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.
II Chronicles 7:14
If My people who are called by
My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from
their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their
sin and heal their land.
Consider this. Prayer requires spiritual discipline. Even if one deems the attitudes and actions
of our national leader to be unrighteous, or unjust, or even tantamount to
those of an enemy of our citizenry (or segments thereof), the admonition of Christ is crystal-clear and applicable to
all:
Matthew 5:43-45
You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your
neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love
your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who
hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and
persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father
in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil
and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
Bottom-line: Let us pray sincerely for Mr. Trump, and for every
other world leader. Undoubtedly, we citizens
are bonafide stake-holders – since our peace, prosperity, safety and security
are definitely on the line. My wife and
I pray daily and fervently for this American president – for his soul’s
salvation, for wisdom, for guidance, for balance…for his attitude, his decision-making,
his integrity and his emotional stability.
Please join in with us and let’s take our national condition and concerns
to the Throne of Grace.
Sisters and brothers, be continually blessed, and please
(above all else) MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO MEET OUR SOON COMING KING.
Maranatha!
