DETERMINED TO DISCOVER GOD’S PURPOSE
I recently read a thought
provoking article by retired CEO and author, Bob Stoess, and deemed it beneficial
to share with you:
What Is Your Purpose?
Do you have a committed purpose for your life? How do you embrace that commitment? Do you feel a need to commit your efforts to
better the world around you? Do you feel
at all burdened by the needs of others? How might you best effectuate a genuine
commitment to personal enlightenment and empowerment?
Commitment is what transforms
promise into reality. It is a word that
speaks boldly of your intentions and the resultant actions that speak much louder
than words. It is making the time, when
there seems to be none; it is coming through consistently to do the right and worthy
things.
Commitment is the stuff that character
is made of and the power to change the appearance of things. It is the face of good in a trying and
troubled world. It is the daily triumph
of integrity over skepticism. It is knowing good and doing it. It is the determination to keep on keeping on
until the task is finished.
Commitment is what it takes to
stand up in the face of adversity. It having patience in the midst of turmoil. It is having the courage to stand up for what
is right. Commitment is the strength of
your convictions. Commitment is a gift
from God, given by way of His grace, mercy and love.
Thank you so much, Bob Stoess, for you valuable insights. Question: Are YOU committed? Have you sifted through the multiplicity of
voices, choices and challenges to identify the ONE THING in your life that
honors GOD most and is singularly representative of the reason HE placed you on
this planet?
What is your true (and most significant) purpose, and what are you
doing about it? Think. Consider carefully and prayerfully. And please don’t let another year pass by
without recognizing and actualizing the YOU that the CREATOR planned before the
foundation of the world.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV)
