REFLECTIONS ON THE 3RD
YEAR OF MY 6TH DECADE OF LIFE
January 5th is my 63rd
birthday, and I must say that God has been mighty good to me! Put simply, God’s grace is the bottom-line
and totality of my worldview and testimony.
For in spite of myself, my occasional lack of understanding, my errors
along the way and imperfections too numerous to mention, God allows me to somehow
help others and to have some minor impact in building His Kingdom.
I have learned a few things…:
1)
God’s blessings are too numerous to
count.
2)
A gratitude attitude attracts
positive and productive results.
3)
Showing respect is an indicator of personal
security and success.
4)
Joy is the assurance that Christ is
at the center of our circumstances.
5)
Love is mission critical and is practically
demonstrated in relationships.
6)
Forgiveness actually serves the one
who does the forgiving.
7)
Marriage requires work, but is the
greatest of human blessings.
8)
Children are the heritage of the
Lord and the legacy of their parents.
9)
Spiritual and physical health enable
purpose and destiny.
10)
Attitude determines altitude.
11)
God’s grace and mercy are awesome
gifts to be treasured eternally.
12)
Two mutually committed wrongs never ever
equal one right.
13)
True friendship is exceedingly rare
and priceless.
14)
You can always depend on God.
15)
Regardless of our sensory
perceptions, the Word works.
16)
Faith is the substance and evidence
of our highest dreams.
17)
We must never compromise for
expedience or convenience.
18)
We will repeat our mistakes until we
learn from them.
19)
God first, family second, ministry
third.
20)
It’s always too soon to quit.
There are other life-lessons I have
learned, but I deemed it appropriate to share just a few with you, my family
and my friends. From my heart, I thank
you for being there…with me…and for me.
Sisters and brothers, be continually
blessed, and please (above all else) MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO MEET OUR SOON
COMING KING. Maranatha!
