A grandmother and a
little girl whose face was sprinkled with bright red freckles spent the day at
the zoo. Children were waiting to get
their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating them with tiger paws.
“You've got so many
freckles, there's no place to paint!” one boy in the line teased the
granddaughter.
Embarrassed, the
little girl dropped her head and frowned. Her grandmother immediately
knelt down next to her. “I love your freckles,” she whispered ever so
lovingly.
“Not me,” the little
girl replied with genuine self-disappointment.
“Well, when I was a
little girl I always wanted freckles,” grandma said, tracing her finger gently
over the child’s cheeks. “Freckles are simply beautiful!”
The girl looked up.
“Really?” she wondered hopefully.
“Of course!” said
the grandmother. “Why, just name me one thing that’s prettier than
freckles.”
The little girl
peered for a moment into her old grandmother’s smiling face. “Wrinkles,”
she answered softly.
Moral of the story:
Love begets love.
Sisters and
brothers, be continually blessed and please (above all else) MAKE SURE YOU ARE
READY TO MEET YOUR SOON COMING KING.
Maranatha!
