NEVER LIVE IN THE PAST
Years ago, the Holy Spirit breathed into my troubled mind
a life-changing Rhema that was dispatched from the throne of grace. It was a simple yet profound message of hope:
“Your flow is in your future, not in your past, so get out of the rearview
mirror.” These are sage words for all of
us to live by.
The prolific author, Warren Wiersbe, strongly agrees. He writes, “Do not say, ‘Why were the former
days better or worse than these?’ You do
not move ahead by constantly looking backward.
The past is a rudder to guide you, not an anchor to drag you. We must learn from the past but not live in
the past.” Amen, Dr. Wiersbe, Amen!
Arguably,
the most potent satanic strategy is to attack one’s mind (the arena of
spiritual warfare) with deep feelings of regret, shame, anger, despair, or condemnation,
centered around past experiences. My
friend, if you messed up, get up and allow our loving GOD to recreate, renew
and restore. And since you are now seated
in Christ, the Word decrees that “there is therefore now no condemnation.”
(Romans 8:1) For good measure, your Heavenly
Father affirms this liberating truth pertaining to all of His spiritual sons
and daughters: “Their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” (Hebrews
8:17)
So let
go, and let God…
Sisters and brothers, be continually blessed, and
please (above all else) MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO MEET OUR SOON COMING KING.
Maranatha!
