OUT OF THE IVORY PALACES INTO A WORLD OF WOE
I love this journey into our imagination penned by the
prolific Christian author, C.S. Lewis:
Imagine that lying at your feet is your dog. Think, for the moment, that your dog and every
dog in the world is in deep distress. Some
of us love dogs very much. Pause and seriously
reflect. If it would help all the dogs across
the globe to become like men, would you be willing to become a dog? Would you put down your human nature, leave
your loved ones, your job, hobbies, your art and literature and music, and choose
instead of the intimate communion with your beloved, the poor substitute of
looking into your beloved’s face and wagging your tail, unable to smile or
speak? Christ by becoming man limited
the thing which to Him was the most precious in the universe; His unhampered
and unhindered communion with the Father.
Hallelujah, what a Savior! The Son of God became a man to enable men to
become the sons of God.
Sisters and brothers, be
continually blessed, and please (above all else) MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO
MEET OUR SOON COMING KING. Maranatha!
