THE PEACE OF GOD
Genuine and enduring peace of mind can be elusive in the midst of
troubling events. So for today, my task
is simply to remind us that GOD is sovereign and in control, no matter what.
Since Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace, true safety consists
not in the absence of danger, but in His presence and power. Thus, peace can never be dependent on calm waters,
but on confidence that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
(Psalm 46:1)
Believers
are advised by the Apostle Paul to “be anxious for nothing, but in everything
by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made
known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians
4:6-7)
So Rest. Pray. Meditate.
Trust. Experience God’s Peace.
Sisters and brothers, be continually blessed, and
please (above all else) MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO MEET OUR SOON COMING KING.
Maranatha!
