NAVIGATING YOUR PAST
This
morning I revisited an interesting conversation between friends:
“Say,
you look very depressed. What are you
thinking about?”
“My
future,” was the quick answer.
“What
makes it look so hopeless?”
“My past.”
Pastor
and author, Warren Wiersbe, advises us to avoid questioning why earlier days
seem better than those we are presently experiencing. He writes, “You do not move ahead by
constantly looking in a rearview mirror.
The past is a rudder to guide you, not an anchor to drag you. We must learn from the past but not live in
the past.”
In the Apostle Paul’s words: “…one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind,
and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark
for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14)
Let it
go.
Sisters and brothers, be continually blessed, and
please (above all else) MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO MEET OUR SOON COMING KING.
Maranatha!
