MAKE TIME FOR YOUR MAKER

MAKE TIME FOR YOUR MAKER

When Belinda and I served as resident missionaries in South Africa, the following was shared with us.  Early African converts to Christianity were earnest and persistent in private devotions.  As such, each one had a separate spot in the thicket where she would pour out her heart to God.  Over time, paths to these places became well worn.  As a result, if one of these believers began to neglect prayer, it was soon apparent to others.  They would kindly remind the negligent one, “Sister, the grass grows on your path.”

My friend, how well-worn is your pathway to prayer?  The Almighty has purposefully made room for you in His kingdom through the sacrificial and vicarious atonement of Jesus Christ.  Make sure that you make room as well, i.e. that devotional fellowship is consistently included on your daily agenda.

Sisters and brothers, be continually blessed, and please (above all else) MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO MEET OUR SOON COMING KING. Maranatha!
