WHY NOT BE AN ENCOURAGER?

WHY NOT BE AN ENCOURAGER?

It’s rather easy, even automatic for some, to be critics instead of encouragers.  But at the end of your days, how would you like to be remembered, as someone who purposefully sowed positive seeds or as a cranky purveyor of weeds?

The Duke of Wellington, the celebrated British military leader who defeated Napoleon at Waterloo, lacked sensitivity in communicating with his men.  Although he was apparently brilliant, he was known to be quite demanding, never guilty of showering subordinates with compliments.  Yet even Wellington realized that his leadership style left something to be desired.  During his retirement years, a young reporter asked him what, if anything, he would do differently if he had his life to live over again.  Wellington thought for a moment, then replied transparently: “I’d give more praise!”

Honest praise is both positive and productive.  Seriously consider and embrace it, my friend.  You (and those in your sphere of influence) will surely be edified, encouraged and blessed.

Sisters and brothers, be continually blessed, and please (above all else) MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO MEET OUR SOON COMING KING. Maranatha!
