ATTITUDE DETERMINES ALTITUDE
How we evaluate and process what we see and experience will profoundly impact both our emotions and outcomes.
For example, an Army chaplain was trying to comfort a soldier who was laying on his bed in a military hospital. “You have lost an arm in a great and noble cause,” he said. “No,” replied the optimistic and dedicated soldier replied with a smile. “I didn’t lose it--I gave it.”
This story reminds me of the good and gracious truth that, in a similar manner, Jesus Christ did not lose His life. He gave it willingly, purposefully and lovingly. My friend, your cup only seems to be half empty; actually it’s half full. Success in life is somewhat similar to the aerodynamic laws that govern flight. An aircraft’s proper attitude is mission critical to attaining and sustaining the proper altitude.
